The React Developer Candle: Our First Candle for Tech People

Every candle in our shop so far has been about a streamer or a meme. This one is about a job.

The React Developer Candle is our first drop for tech people: a hand-poured 12 oz candle with a React-style label for the developers in your life, or for your own desk, right next to the second monitor and the cold coffee.

Why a developer candle

Half of our orders are gifts, and the hardest person to buy for is the one whose whole personality is their stack. Developers do not want another mug. They want something that proves you know what they actually do all day. A candle with an atom logo on the label says it without a word.

The honest part

We are a family candle shop, not a software company. This candle is fan art for a profession: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with React or Meta, and the label says so in print. What it is: paraffin wax poured to order in Arizona by my kids and me, a cotton wick, a citrus scent for the summer pour, and a label we argued about the kerning on longer than we should have.

Like every Memewick candle, the React candle comes with your choice of 16 Magic Gamer Dust shimmer colors at no extra charge. White is the default. Magic Blue feels right for this one, but we are not your tech lead, pick what you want.

Where to get it

The React Developer Candle is live now on our site and in our Etsy shop, made to order and shipped from Cave Creek, Arizona. If it goes well, other frameworks may get their turn. We take requests through the creator request box in the site footer, and yes, someone has already asked for Vim.
